Terms of use

Effective 19 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-19 · AutoThink Group Ltd trading as AutoQuit

These terms are an agreement between you and AutoThink Group Ltd, trading as AutoQuit ("we"), Moss Bridge House, Moss Bridge Road, Rochdale, OL16 5EA, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using AutoQuit you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy policy.

Who can use AutoQuit

You must be 18 or over to create your own account. Children aged 5 to 17 may only use AutoQuit through a family link set up, and consented to, by their parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for their use.

What AutoQuit is, and isn't

AutoQuit is a self-help tool for building habits and cutting down on things you want less of. It is not medical, psychological or addiction treatment, and it is not an emergency service. If you're in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call your local emergency number (999 in the UK, 911 in the US, 112 in the EU) or a crisis line. Talk to a doctor before stopping alcohol, drugs or medication, as stopping suddenly can be dangerous.

Alex, the AI coach

Alex is an AI. Its replies are generated automatically, can be wrong, and are suggestions, not professional advice. You decide what to do. Alex isn't available to child accounts.

Family agreements

Family plans are agreements between a parent and child. AutoQuit does not block games, apps or devices. Parents remain responsible for supervising their children.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse AutoQuit: no breaking the law, harassing others, trying to access other people's data, adding inappropriate content to a child's plans, reverse engineering or overloading the service, or using it to build a competing product. We may suspend accounts that do.

Your content

What you enter stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run AutoQuit for you, as set out in the Privacy policy.

Price and changes to the service

AutoQuit is currently free. We may add, change or remove features. If we ever introduce paid features, we'll tell you first and you won't be charged without agreeing.

Our responsibility to you

We provide AutoQuit with reasonable care and skill, but "as is", and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for decisions you make based on the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer.

Ending

You can stop using AutoQuit and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend access if you seriously break these terms, and will tell you why where we can.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the version above and ask you to agree in the app before you continue.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of your local consumer law and can bring claims in your local courts.

App stores

If you downloaded AutoQuit from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, who have no responsibility for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.
